Position Duties:
* Setup Build & Release mechanism for new Product lines.
* Setup & maintain Build Machines located at onshore & offshore locations.
* Automate & monitor daily project development & biweekly Global builds.
* Automate Remote Deployment of Builds on Development & Test Servers.
* Integrate Packaging scripts & Test Automation scripts with build & Monitor build verification test status.
* Drive the resolution of failures.
* Troubleshooting issues with builds and compiler tools.
* Administration & trainings of tools like TFS, VSS , Clear quest, Quality Center etc.
* Developing & generating Build summary reports and send to leadership team.
* Setup process & maintain the Archive of software releases (internal & external) & license Management for other employees of the Group / Unit.
* Perform all duties as assigned.
The position will report to the Tech Lead / Manager - Engineering
Qualifications Required:
* BE, M Sc, MCA, Computer Science or related discipline.
* Number of years related experience: 5+ years
Previous Experience & Skills
* Strong experience in configuration management tools like TFS, VSS or equivalent
* Knowledge of Team foundation Build Service & TFS Build APIs.
* Solid working experience in scripting using technologies like MS Scripts, Batch Scripts, Perl Scripts, VB scripts and build tools like nANT.
* Sound knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, windows security architecture, Systems Interoperability
* Solid experience in build development & distribution approaches in distributed / onshore offshore development environment.
* Must have demonstrated experience to handle builds / Releases for fairly large Product in the past and should be able to ramp up on product Architecture & Deployments in reasonable time frame.
* Knowledge of development languages like C#.Net, ASP.Net would be an added advantage
* Experience in deployment (Manual / Automated) of Web applications on IIS
* Good time management organization, inter-personal skills.
* Should have worked in a distributed, multi-site environment.
* Should be able to work closely with different project teams to understand the requirements and should be able to drive build development relatively independently.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong problem solving skills
* Experience setting up Build environments using Virtualization would be an added advantage.
